Formats

Traditionally, video productions have been distributed on VHS tape, but with the advent of new formats the options have greatly increased. Programmes can now be streamed over the internet, converted to MPEG1 format for distribution on CD or high quality MPEG2 format for showing on DVD.

DVD is now the preferred delivery format for video presentations due to its vastly superior picture quality, tremendous reliability and its incredible flexibility.

We can design DVD’s with a front end menu where you can select from a choice of presentations or a number of chapter points within a video. The authoring process can make your presentation as flexible as you wish. Of course, you may just want the DVD to automatically play one Video programme, the choice is yours.

It is worth noting that analogue video tape deteriorates, having life of between 15 and 20 years, less if they frequently played back. DVD on the other hand is a digital medium on a far stronger substrate ensuring reliable playback for a 100 years plus. We only use reputable Branded discs.
